MISSION STATEMENT/PHILOSOPHY:

Alabama Oncology is a community-based physician practice that provides patients with increased access to integrated, evidence-based cancer care and clinical research throughout central Alabama. We are dedicated to the health and well-being of patients with cancer and blood disorders and strive to provide outstanding care while being respectful and sensitive to the individual needs of each patient.

Our dedicated physicians, nurses and staff will guide you and your family through your treatment options, in an effort to tailor our services to your unique, individual needs. Our state-of-the-art clinics offer a full range of chemotherapy services, laboratory testing, clinical trials and support services, provided by people who have an unwavering commitment to achieving the best possible result.  We also provide specialized services in Gynecologic Oncology and complicated gynecological surgical cases.

Alabama Oncology is the largest, private, community-based  provider of cancer care services in Alabama. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of quality care in a compassionate and convenient environment. Our network is comprised of nine clinics strategically located throughout central Alabama with a strong presence in Birmingham’s major hospitals so patients can receive treatment close to home.

  • 18 medical oncologist
  • 2 gynecologic oncologist
  • 1 general oncology surgeon
  • 1 hepatobiliary/pancreatic surgeon

INTRODUCTION TO PHARMACY SERVICES STAFF:

  • Alabama Rx (est. 2016):
  • 1 pharmacist
  • 3 CPhT, patient advocates
  • Service all clinic sites with oral oncolytics
  • Service on-site clinic supportive medications
  • On-site prior authorizations and financial benefit analysis
  • 80% of prescriptions are delivered to patients
