Living The Mission Award

The NCODA Living the Mission Award recognizes members who exemplify the mission and values of NCODA in its quest to advance the value of dispensing practices for oncology physicians and deliver positive outcomes through collaboration in the care of oncology patients.

Living the Mission Award nominations are encouraged for submission by NCODA members who wish to highlight the accomplishments of their colleagues on behalf of the entire profession.

Living the Mission Nomination Criteria

NCODA member at least one year.

An active participant in NCODA strategic initiatives.

May not be a member of the Executive Council.

NCODA is pleased to announce our 2019 Living the Mission Nominees. These are exceptional professionals that have devoted their time to improving patient care and exemplify the mission and values of NCODA.

Anna Howard, PharmD – Billings Clinic, MT

“Anna Howard serves on both the OCE and PQI committee and is an avid supporter of NCODA. She advocates for more cost transparency at the state level and supports her practice site’s patient assistance fund, which helps with housing for patients coming from rural areas who are getting treatments in Billings, MT and need a safe, clean place to stay.”

Britny Rogala, PharmD – Women & Infants Hospital, RI

“Britny has lead the way for NCODA’s OCE Committee, helping to create a complete team for updating and maintaining the oral chemotherapy education sheets. She has advocated for NCODA greatly in her area as a strong NCODA ambassador as well as help support NCODA’s student engagement through supervising pharmacy students interested in oncology with NCODA.”

“Howard Cohen has served as both an active participant and leader in multiple aspects of NCODA. He has greatly contributed to the advancement of the ASCO/NCODA Quality Standards and has spoken at multiple National NCODA meetings as well as the inaugural NCODA Oncology Institute. He has been a great ambassador for NCODA at Smilow Cancer Hospital and beyond.”

Julianne Orr, PharmD – Indiana University Health, IU

“Julianne serves as one of the chairs for the PQI committee and has helped as an ambassador whenever speaking at NCODA National meetings and among fellow pharmacists. She has been a great supporter of NCODA’s clinical initiatives and hopes to make them recognized in oncology care.”

“Dr. Kashyap Patel has been a great supporter of NCODA and participated as both a leader and participant in NCODA’s annual events. He is serving as one of the meeting committee chairs for the NCODA Fall Summit and has been a speaker in multiple NCODA events such as the Fall Summit and Spring Forum along with the first NCODA Oncology Institute.”

Kathy Oubre, MS – Ponchartrain Cancer Center, LA

“Kathy Oubre has served as the chair and overall meeting leader of the inaugural NCODA Oncology Institute, where she helped in all aspects of planning and execution of a successful new meeting for the education of NCODA non-member stakeholders. She also serves as one of the Be the Match Chairs where we have been able to create media and raise a record amount of funds for the Be the Match Foundation in 2018-2019.”
