This week I have had to call CVS twice, once on a Prior authorization submission and once for a pharmacy help desk request.
The pharmacy help desk number I was given to call is 1-866-842-5178. When I call in I received the automated message of “we are having technical difficulties and please call back later, good bye” and then the call hangs up.
The prior authorization number I was given is 1-800-294-5979, had the same automated message “we are experiencing technical difficulty, good bye.”
I call both numbers back from my cell phone, and both calls went through. Has anyone experienced any issues calling CVS? I can’t imagine there is a way they have blocked our pharmacy number; but I wonder what the issue is.
