The NCODA Medically-Integrated Oncology Pharmacy (MIOP) Residency Program provides new pharmacy graduates and practicing pharmacists an exclusive opportunity to engage in a comprehensive 1-year training program at a medically integrated pharmacy designed to prepare participants for a successful career in oncology pharmacy. NCODA is working with cancer centers throughout the United States to provide the framework and accreditation for this residency program.

Future leaders in pharmacy
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The MIOP Residency Program includes 4 specific rotations:
- Oral Outpatient Oncology Practice (5 Months)
- IV/Infusion Oncology Practice (5 Months)
- Pharmacy Business/Leadership (2 Months)
- Research (12 Months |Longitudinal | Finding presented at NCODA Spring Forum)
The goals and competencies of each rotation are developed by the rotation preceptors and approved by NCODA’s Residency Review Committee. The activities and projects that each resident is involved in per rotation will be determined by the Rotation Preceptor and resident prior to the rotation start date, in accordance with NCODA’s MIOP Residency Manual.
