NCODA Mentorship PROGRAM

EMPOWERING FUTURE PHARMACISTS

The NCODA Mentorship Program is open exclusively to fourth-year PharmD students and pharmacists in their early careers (residents, fellows, new practitioners). Its primary purpose is to connect these students and pharmacists with experienced oncology healthcare professionals.

UNLOCKING OPPORTUNITIES

The NCODA Mentorship Program offers various opportunities for mentorship, including CV reviews, shadow days, and mock interviews, enabling students and new pharmacists to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the oncology field. Moreover, participants have the chance to engage in community outreach activities, helping them make a positive impact in the world of oncology.

This program is ideal for student pharmacists with a strong interest in oncology, career development, leadership, research, and/or community outreach opportunities. If you are committed to maintaining regular communication with your mentor throughout the 2024-2025 academic school year, we encourage you to apply and take advantage of this invaluable opportunity!

International Collaborator:

Since 2023, NCODA has collaborated with the Canadian Association of Pharmacy in Oncology (CAPhO) to offer mentor and mentee opportunities to oncology leaders and young professionals throughout Canada.

ELIGIBILITY

MENTOR

Mentors play a crucial role in guiding and supporting their mentees throughout the program.

Any oncology healthcare professional who is enthusiastic about mentoring pharmacy students  and new pharmcists can become a mentor in the NCODA Mentorship Program. Mentor activities include conducting CV reviews, arranging shadow days, and conducting mock interviews. Additionally, mentors are responsible for performing monthly check-ins to ensure the success of the mentorship relationship and communicating any questions or concerns to the NCODA team for further assistance.

MENTEE

To apply as a mentee, please complete the Mentee Application for the 2024-2025 cycle. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this rewarding program that can shape your career in oncology and offer valuable guidance during your professional journey.

APPLICATION DEADLINE
The application deadline for the NCODA Mentorship Program is October 4, 2024.

We encourage those interested to apply as soon as possible due to the high volume of applications we receive. Please note that while we strive to pair all mentees with mentors, however not all applicants will be matched in this cycle.
