Cost Avoidance & Waste Tracker

NCODA’s proprietary CAWT tool measures cost avoidance within an MID versus the waste produced by specialty and mail-order pharmacies. Just input your practice’s data and this simple web tool calculates your cost and waste numbers in a simple visual format. Because it’s easy to use and simplifies sharing individual and compiled data, it helps make a case for the Medically Integrated Dispensary.

Resources to Help Cancer Patients Afford Care

The Financial Assistance tool is an NCODA initiative that provides up to date and comprehensive financial resource information about dozens of chemotherapy and cancer care treatment options. Available in the NCODA member portal in a convenient online format and also as a downloadable excel spreadsheet.

The Financial Assistance Tool is a ready resource for oncology caregivers to assist their patients struggling to pay for cancer treatment. Many types and levels of assistance are available from major pharmaceutical companies to not-for-profit organizations.

Positive Patient Care Tool: Helping Practices Better Understand Patient Needs and Experience

Patient surveys help determine satisfaction levels for patients of NCODA member practices with medically integrated pharmacies (MIP). Since 2017, NCODA has been collecting survey data as a standardized method of benchmarking patient satisfaction in an MIP compared with other services in the industry. Published results as of November 2023, the survey identified an 86.2 Net Promoter Score (NPS)* average for MIPs. In addition, 97% of patients state they would prefer to fill their oral oncology and/or supportive care medications at their MIP vs. an external mail-order specialty pharmacy.

Read more on how this standardized method for benchmarking patient satisfaction in an MIP, supports this model of care in a recently published article with Prime Therapeutics that highlights NCODA’s patient satisfaction survey results.

Please view the example surveys below and contact NCODA to get your practice involved in collecting this important data that supports the MIP model.

*Net Promoter Score (NPS) is a metric used to identify overall customer satisfaction and loyalty.

READINESS TRACKER

An important tool for an NCODA Medically Integrated Pharmacy is the utilization of a Readiness Tracker when establishing policies and procedures. The tracker should have the ability to determine tasks and the main leaders responsible for each step in the development and maintenance processes. Having goal dates determining prompt completion is crucial to an NCODA MIP following the Quality Standards and going Beyond the First Fill.

There are many types of Readiness Trackers available and it is important to find one that suits your practice’s specific needs. For an example of a Readiness Tracker, please click on the link below to download the Readiness Tracker Template.
