This CE activity reviews guideline-based standards of care for older adults with cancer receiving systemic therapy. Learners will explore how to use the Practical Geriatric Assessment (PGA) to identify and manage vulnerabilities and will outline key infrastructure needs for implementing the PGA into routine oncology care.

Learning Objectives

  1. Review guideline-based standards of care for older adults with cancer receiving systemic cancer therapy.​
  2. Summarize the use of the Practical Geriatric Assessment (PGA) for management of vulnerabilities in older adults with cancer. ​
  3. Identify infrastructure requirements necessary for implementation of the PGA in the care of older adults with cancer.​
