Published Date: March 11, 2026

Dublin, Ireland — 11th March 2026 — The Network for Collaborative Oncology Development & Advancement (NCODA) today welcomes international leaders in cancer care to Dublin as its inaugural Global Oncology & Haematology Congress officially opens at The Shelbourne Hotel.

The two-day Congress brings together a carefully curated group of experts across oncology, haematology, diagnostics, pharmacy, academia and healthcare innovation for high-level dialogue and clinically relevant education focused on improving patient outcomes worldwide.

Across 16 sessions, speakers from Europe, North America and beyond will address some of the most pressing issues in modern cancer care, including treatment sequencing, therapy management, patient adherence, precision oncology, AI-driven cancer care, cardio-oncology, workforce sustainability and strategies to address global drug shortages.

Opening the Congress, Michael Reff, RPh, MBA, Founder and Executive Director of NCODA, said:

“Today marks an important milestone for NCODA as we convene global leaders who are actively reshaping how cancer care is delivered. Cancer treatment is evolving at a rapid pace, and collaboration across disciplines and borders has never been more important. This Congress is designed to move beyond discussion — to share practical, real-world solutions that improve care quality, expand access, and ultimately enhance patient outcomes worldwide.”

Dave Shanahan, NCODA Global Council Steering Committee Member and CEO of Athena Pharmaceuticals, welcomed the international delegation to Dublin:

“It is incredibly positive to see a global organization like NCODA bring this level of expertise and collaboration to Ireland. Hosting the inaugural Congress in Dublin recognizes the significant progress made here in advancing cancer prevention, treatment innovation, and clinical outcomes. Importantly, it also creates an opportunity for Irish clinicians, researchers and patient advocates to both contribute to and benefit from global knowledge exchange.”

Speaking on behalf of the Irish Pharmacy Haematology Oncology Society (IPHOS), Eoin Tabb, NCODA Global Council Steering Committee Member, emphasized the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration:

“The NCODA Global Congress represents a vital opportunity to connect international oncology leaders and frontline healthcare professionals. By sharing best practice, evidence-based innovation and patient-centered strategies, we strengthen our collective ability to deliver safer, more effective cancer care. Innovation, particularly around AI in healthcare, is a key area of focus, and sharing learnings and updates with counterparts from around the world can only benefit us as care providers, ultimately improving outcomes for our patients. The energy and expertise in the room over the next two days will undoubtedly have a lasting impact.”

The Congress program features internationally recognized faculty from Europe, North America, and beyond, offering advanced, clinically relevant education and actionable strategies that oncology teams can apply immediately in practice. Sessions will address topics such as sustainable oncology amid global drug shortages, AI-driven cancer care, cardio-oncology, precision medicine, workforce protection, and community-centered models of care.

Dr Tríona McCarthy, Interim National Director, National Cancer Control Programme, highlighted the broader significance of the Congress for patient care:

“Events like this are crucial in ensuring that advancements in research, diagnostics and therapeutics translate into meaningful improvements for patients. By bringing together multidisciplinary experts, we can align on standards, responsibly embrace innovation, and focus on delivering truly personalized, equitable cancer care. The conversations taking place here in Dublin will help shape the next phase of oncology practice.”
